Our Story
Our story started unremarkably from some crappy vending machine coffee over 10 years ago. I pressed the 'brew' button and watched as the machine spat a cup of dark, bitter liquid that smelled more like burnt rubber than anything comforting. I remember the taste resembled dirty tap water, but a ritual I only endured because I needed the caffeine to fuel my studies. At this point I had sworn off coffee, but remained curious as to why so many people swore by this stuff.
Fast forward to my senior year of university, where I was getting ready for a first date at none other than the local coffee shop. I hadn't tried coffee since the horrific vending machine experience, but my date convinced me to give it another go. I walked up to the counter and reluctantly ordered us two cappuccinos. The coffee came to our table and it was time for the moment of truth. Hesitantly I took the first sip, a sip that would mark my addiction to what people refer to as the elixir of life. I got home from my date and immediately started researching coffee machines, and within a week I was brewing my own coffee.
In the past few years I have been fortunate enough to travel to some of the best coffee farms in South America and have learned so much about the process of growing, drying and roasting coffee. This only lead to me becoming an even bigger coffee snob, and I started to struggle to find quality coffee in the grocery stores that I actually enjoyed. Even the beans that are sold by local shops can be weeks or even months old by the time they are brewed into a cup of coffee. Thus, Celestra Coffee was born with a mission to deliver the freshest coffee possible straight to your doorstep. That is why we roast our coffee specially for each order on the same day that it ships to your door. We have partnered with some of the best growers around the world to deliver a product that is unmatched.
